Fresh Win 7 Pro install...can't login after update reboot
So I got a digital download of Windows 7 yesterday to replace my existing xp 64 pro install. After downloading the iso for 64 bit win 7 pro and installing I can no longer log in. I set up a standard password that, everything looked great but now I can't get in to the system. The biggest problem is that I made the absolutely brilliant decision to not get the disc copy sent to me and didn't make a copy of it myself. So, I don't have a physical installation CD to rerun and fix this mishap of my own creation. Any suggestions? No I don't have an admin account. When I log in to safe mode I only have my one user account. Trying to gain access by running the repair option shows my account and the HomeGroupUser$ option.

From where did you obtain your copy of Windows 7 from? You need to contact the seller for a genuine physical Windows 7 DVD.Carey Frisch

Hi, I would like to suggest you press F8 when starting and perform a System Restore in System Recovery Options to check if it works. If it does not work, please contact the software vendor to re-download the Windows 7 installation file or order the Windows 7 installation disk. Regards,Arthur Li - MSFT
