I tried differents versions of the drivers, but none seems to work, I already used CCLeaner to fix registry errors and deleted all Fresco Logic folders on my computer. I'm running out of ideas, so any help will be welcome !

Regards.

Yes I tried this one, it's the official driver provided by Asus, but I have the same issue
July 22nd, 2015 3:35am

nothing much we can do here

1. please make sure your laptop, PC and OS compatible with this device

2. please make sure you have the latest driver update, regarding this issue mostly related to chipset

3. Isolate other 3rd party software issue by performing clean boot

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

other than that I suggest contact device manufactured

On Asus they're saying Driver is compatible with windows 8, but nothing about 8.1. Oh And I forgot to mension I already managed to install this driver before, but i got another error ( Yellow mark when connecting a device to the 3.0 port, and I read somewhere the issue was related to a flag problem from Fresco Logic )

Well, I'll contact Fresco Logic then, anyway maybe the Win10 upgrade will fix this :p

Up : I discovered that an USB Hub controller is installed but seen as not connected (code 45) and so is listed as "hidden device"

It's located in PCI slot 3 - PCI Bus 4 ( It's correct ).

Could it be an Hardware issue ?

Hi,

This should be obviously the compatible issue.

Have you tried to install the driver in compatible mode? Right click the installer, under Compatibility, choose Windows 8 as compatibility mode.

If it still fails to work, I recommend to check the setupapi.dev.log under %windir%\inf, locate the device and find the line below:

dvi:             Rank         - 0x00000000

Then, corresponds the score in this link:

Identifier Score

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff546297(v=vs.85).aspx

The score near 0x00003FFF means that the driver and device may not compatible with current system.

We may need to wait for the manufacturers driver update to compatible with Windows 10.

There's no sign of any installation process in setupapi.dev.log

The only thing I found is the log when I uninstalled the incorrect drivers that stated the device was not connected:

Driver ID : PCI\VEN_1B73&DEV_1000&SUBSYS_10391043&REV_04

Now the USB isn't even seen anymore, enum seems to fail so... Motherboard is getting old ?
