Freezing if Memory Remap is enabled

Greetings,

Have Win 8.1 x64 trial (evaluation) for just 3 days, and today after couple hours of use it freezed for no reason. Later today I booted windows again, well, it froze after few minutes of use, after one unsuccessful restart (froze right at "loading" screen) it worked again few minutes. Well, to troubleshoot I set bios to defaults (thus disabling memory remapping), and it began working as if nothing happened. I downloaded latest chipset driver from Intel, restarted windows now with remap enabled, now it couldn't even pass at best 3 dots (multiple dots circle around, well, it hang right after spawning first three dots, on few tries it couldn't spawn any, and just hung).

Well, this is really old motherboard, when I bought it even Vista wasn't released yet (was in beta or something), and since it I've been using Vista and Windows 7 with memory remapping for years and never had such problems.

It's really hard using 3 GBs out of 5, plus 1 GB already is being "used" by nothing("total used 1.5 GB" while all processes use ~0.5 GB)

Any thoughts how to check what error it produces or what happens?

(I've installed few drivers and software yesterday, so maybe they're producing error, is there a way to check which was installed yesterday?)
