Boboca,I installed Comodo (just the firewall, not theAV) and it works on mine. I used the compatibility mode. I set it on "worked on older os." Use either Vista Or Vista SP1. If you try to install it on is own it won't install the firewall driver and won't work. The only problem I have is Windows 7 RC won't reconize it, and if you try to turn off Windows firewall the Action Center gives an alert andsays to turn it back on. I don't Know why it won't reconize it. The Beta did. I tried twice to getthe O Sto reconize it but could'nt. They may have changed something.I hope this helps. Walt

Same here. I always used Comodo Firewall and using compatibility mode to install it was running fine in the beta. Now, the RC dont recognize it, and asks to activate windows firewall.

Hi. OK, this what I found out at the Comodo forum. The reason the firewall isn't being recognized is that MS has changed the data or code in the 7RC Security Center. Also I found out that the updater dosen't work either. But this can be fixed by running CFPUDAT.exe under the Vista compatibility mode. If you don't know how to do this, just open My computer, double click on the drive you have 7RC on, double click Program Files, double click the Comodo file, go down to CFPUPDAT.exe and right click on it, then run it in the Vista compatibity mode. Also according to one of the Comodo Moderators that Firewall Version 3.9 maybe released Tuesday. Hopefully this will cure the problems. But the official stand is that Comodo still dosen't support Windows 7. So you might what to check the Comodo website for any updates.

I used CIS a while on the beta but it slowed down the browsing. Had to uninstall it and I'm actually discovering this behavior in the RC in this thread. I might give it a shot again when 3.9 comes out. Been using Comodo Firewall since 2.5...yeah, it's a brilliant piece of software. Another issue I had with it in Seven beta, was the firewall doesn't recognize the apps, i.e. it doesn't apply any rule, it allows everything. You must configure the rules manually, no big deal, and normal since it hasn't been optimized at all yet for Win7.

Yes, but that firewall only controll what is comming to your PC, from the network. Thats why suggested to use some other firewall softwer, what is checking the outgoing programs/datas, also the programs in ur PC what are starting some other programs. (like keyloggers...) There is many free, but i did not find any untill this what is working correctly on the Win 7RC 32 bit.

I think you will find the MS is also watching outbound (same as onecare did / does), I had to allow SkyPE / hamachi / VNC / SJPhone inet access on install of the programs.

Use PC Tools Firewall Plus. It's free and very good - so far. Here's the link: http://www.pctools.com/firewall/ . I've found this in another thread, but I can't remember which one... sorry 'bout that.
