Original title: I lost the password to the admin acct.i have a disc i found called m2n-mx se plus series x series will that reset everything.i know nothing about computers and tried alt cntrl del it's my childs computer i cannot afford to pay for help thank you!HELP PLEASE! i lost the admin password to my son's computer and all of his school work projects and his other major stuff is on there music printer everything and i have tried alt cntrl delete from youtube and it has not worked i know nothing about computers and i am afraid to download any links because it might contain viruses this computer was given to him and the basics were installed for him the disk was included with it will that work m2n-mx se plus series graphics integrated motherboard x series? even if there is a disk that i could buy for like 10.00 a legitimate disk that will restore the admin password or give me alternatives the virus protector expires in a few days and you cannot do anything from the 2 limited acct's. thank you!

Start the computer in Safe mode and log into the built-in account named Administrator . You'll have to know the password, if any, for that account. Once in, go to Control Panel > User Accounts and change the password for your regular account.Then, restart the computer and log into your regular account with the new password.
