I am new to FIM, I was wondering have someone here been able to setup FIM to work with Domino, so that the below processes are automated in Domino. It is hard to get an overview of what is possible.

Creating Notes users?

What if the there are 2 persons with the same name and identifier?

Re-creating users that have left and re-joined the company and are listed i terminations group / ID vault?

Change Notes users?

Change certifier?

Change name?

Delete Notes users in Domino?

Change Notes users? - YES. Provision new user. Out of the box functionality same as any other MA

Change certifier? - NOT SURE WHAT THIS IS.

Change name? - YES, Simple synchronization update. Out of the box feature no different from any MA.

Delete Notes users in Domino? - YES . Setting in MA Deprovisioning options - "Delete connector on next export" . Feature is an out of the box for all MAs.

(We are able to modify an existing user).

Nosh has given you some good advice -- his next question seems to lead where I would go next. Being new to FIM it is very common assumption that FIM will just create accounts when you populate the Metaverse. But there is an additional step called provisioning (my apologies if you already have this part done but many newcomers miss it).

You need to either use a Sync Rule (configured in the FIM Portal) or you need to write Provisioning code in VB.Net or C# and tell the Sync service to use it. This guide will walk you through one approach to using the Sync Rules to provisioning (you will have to adapt it for Notes).

Codeless we are using the buildin Lotus Domino 8X MA and we have intalled a 32bit Notes client on the FIM server.

We have configured the Lotus Domino 8.X MA to export (attribute flow) and the run profile so the sync fields of fields into Domino address book works.
