Forcing all files to synchronise???
Hi I have a project folder system available offline that has many sub folders and files and Sync Centre is adament it wont make available all files offline. Only when I open each folder and force that folder to sync does it do it...How can I speed this up and why does it keep stopping, this is driving me crazy! I used to use a program like beyond compare but it was becoming a bind to having to keep running it synchronising with my server and so we went the active directory/offline way. It is so frustrating to find what you think has synchronised hasnt eventhough you have told it to make available offline ALL the sub folders/files.... any help appreciated....If I use beyond compare as a one-off process to my cache file it then create millions of problems as the cache thinks the server and cache has been changed independantly and there is no way of ignoring all and therfore would take as long to resolve each file than sync the damn thing... any help advice welcomed thanks in advance sphe

Hi, Actually in Windows 7, synchronization can happen automatically and in the background, without requiring the user to choose between online and offline modes. For more information, please refer to the link below: File Sharing and Offline Files Enhancements At this stage, I suggest you temporarily turn off firewall, then disable Offline Files feature and enable it again for a test. If the issue persists, I suggest you open Group Policy and configure relevant policy about Offline Files. 1. Open Group Policy at Computer configuration | Administrative Templates | Network | Offline Files 2. Enable the following items: Enable Transparent Caching. Configure Background Sync. Subfolders always available offline. Thanks, Novak
