Force Windows 7 to Wait for Network before Logon
I deployed my first Windows 7 machine yesterday in a Domain Environment with roaming profiles and redirected Desktop, AppData etc. The issue that I have is unlike XP, which actually applies the policy "Always wait for network at computer startup and logon", Windows 7 does not appear to. It is a HUGE issue in a domain environment because all my users have redirected Desktops and Application Data folders and about 80% have mandatory roaming profiles. The biggest issue is with Laptops. All my Desktops I do a remote Wakeup so they are already awake. With the laptops they startup and need to connect to the wireless and run startup scripts before the users SHOULD be able to logon. Is there any way to force it on Windows 7? I am running Windows 2008 R2 Server. Thank Youlforbes

Hi, From your description, I notice the issue is more related to Sever settings. Please contact the Server Forum to get more help. Thanks for your kind understanding.
