Folders won't open in windows explorer with click
When I click on a folder in the right window I get," This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." instead of the folder opening. Right clicking and then clicking on explore yields the same result, clicking on Open opens the window.
Clicking on a folder in an explorer window opened by a program works normally.

Hi,
This behavior can occur if the file you are trying to open is not associated with the correct program or the registry entries for the program are missing
or damaged.
First, please refer to the following link to check if it helps:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/this-file-does-not-have-a-program-associated-with/1aed2afc-af99-480b-be3b-498e285411f9
If the issue persists, you may temporarily disable the third party security programs and boot in
Clean Boot
to test.
Please
create a new user account
to test the issue.
Regards,
Sabrina
