What version of XP do you have? You can only see the security tab in XP Home from Safe Mode. In addition, the file system must be NTFS and not FAT32.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

XP Pro. the file system is NTFS. I was following an enquiry on Microsoft with regards to logging file access/failure. It instructed the changes to the Local Security Policy and then to change settings in the folder by right clciking and select properties and then select the security Tab.?? TECHSS

Control Panel>Folder Options>View tab - uncheck "use simple file sharing" and the security tab will magically appear. :-)MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
