I also, thought ACL follow the least restrictive? Ie if your a member of two groups to an object and only only has read and the other read/write you have read/write? thoughts?

Nex6, What are the effective permissions on those folders? (howto view the effective permissions http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc758822(WS.10).aspx) I think you for got to check option "Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined here". So try the following steps. 1. Configure the permission that you want on your folder c:\sysconfig. (do not click ok or close the diaglogbox) 2. Click on the advanced button. 3. Check the option "Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined here". 4. Click on the "OK" button. 5. Click on the "OK" button. Kind Regards DFT IM me - TWiTTer: @DFTER
