Hit the same problem just now. Comically poor effort on Microsoft's part.

Same thing regarding the Event Log Online Help link that incessantly lands you on a "Page Not Found" result.

It's growing ever more clear that Microsoft has instructed its employees to fail, on purpose.

One can only imagine the wild success of their past efforts has left them in a position that's somehow perceived as vulnerable.  Perhaps this is just what businesses that are TOO successful have to do.  I'm not sure what business would buy them out, though, if their stock got too valuable.  Maybe the government of a Far Eastern country or something.

Sure wish Microsoft would pay me off not to be a detractor.  I could be a major fanboy too, for a healthy enough price.  You have my address, boys.  I *could* be singing the virtues of leaving skeuomorphism behind, or Live Tiles, or how a blast from the past could be Modern, or...  :-)

Thank you for your opinion colakid.  I needed a good laugh.

Microsoft was once a good company.  That they've decided to screw up computing in the modern age isn't my fault, and I'm not going to sit by and watch them do it without saying something about it.
