Hi, I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have error ID 7023, Source Service Control Manager, with the message "The Windows Firewall service terminated with the following error: The specified module could not be found." I haven't done anything significant like adding hardware or anything. Any ideas how I fix this? I've tried repair from DVD but no luck. TIAMozy

Are you using a Symantec or Norton security product. If yes, ensure that you have the lastest available software version for Windows 7 and updates for your subscription. You could also try to open an elevated command prompt and run sfc /scannow. It will take some time. Be patient. Click Start=>type cmd=>right-click cmd in the results and select Run as Administrator=>type sfc /scannow and tap enter.
