Firewall rules confusion
Go to Administrative Tools / Windows Firewall with Advanced Security. Create an Inbound rule. Block ICMPv4 from any to any for Public ProfileThis rule shows up with a No-Entry sign. Go look at Control Panel / Windows Firewall, Change Settings / Exceptions tab.The rule just created is checkmarked. Go to Administrative Tools / Windows Firewall with Advanced Security. Create an Inbound rule. Block TCP 5357 from any to any for Public ProfileThis shows up with a No-Entry sign Go look at Control Panel / Windows Firewall, Change Settings / Exceptions tab. This new rule is unchecked ! So is the block tcp 5357 rule enabled or not ?? Now at the exceptions tab, checkmark the block tcp5357 rule Go back to Firewall Rules with Advanced Security, and look at the inbound rule - it just turned into a green symbol ?!?!
