Firewall disabled in security center in Windows XP professional Service pack 3..dialogue box says DUE TO UNIDENTIFIED PROBLEMS. WINDOWS CANNOT DISPLAY FIREWALL SETTINGS.
firewall disabled in security center. Security Center cannot be activated due to unknown reason. The recommendation to have firewall enabled in the security center cannot be done. My OS is XP professional edition SP3. My anti virus installed is Avira anti Vir, which I'm not sure if it has built-in firewall. Please let me know of a solution to have either my windows or anti virus firewall enabled .5 people need an answerI do too

Avira free doesn't have its own firewall. For that error message: "Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings" error, try: Start>Run regsvr32 hnetcfg.dll [enter]MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

I have tried the Start>/Run etc & it says it was successful, but did not solve problem. My virus protection is MSE.
