Firewall blocking network access to C$ on Windows 7
Hi All. I’m having problems remotely accessing the C and D $ of our Windows 7 boxes over the network. I know the firewall is blocking this access because I can access it if the firewall is disabled but I can’t for the life of me figure out which setting I need to change in the firewall console to all access to the drives. None of the drives are shared so we always access by going \\PCNAME\c$ or d$ I would very much appreciate assistance with this as I’ve completely run out of ideas. Thanks Adam

If you are entirely sure it's the firewall, open UDP and TCP ports 135 through 139. For the more common problem accessing administrative shares, see this link .
