Hello Everyone I am currently facing an annoying problem with my computer, everytime I turn my computer on, I must click Security Center and then turn on the firewall and defender as they turn off all the time. I also have to regurally check to make sure the firewall is still on, sometimes it just shuts off, the same with defender. I fear I may be infected with a virus or spyware, as I have noticed also a decrease in computer performace and internet connection speed. I am using Live OneCare on my computer, I have also downloaded and run several viruse diffrent anti virus software including, AVG, Kaspersky and Spybot for spyware, everything resulted in a negative find for anything except Spybot which caught a couple small things, yet I still have to continual check to make sure my windows firewall and defender are on.Does anyonehave a solution, or idea, asto the causeof this problem and drop in performace. Hi, Firstly I suggest to remove all antivirus software except Windows Live OneCare. Now Go to Control Panel>>Administrative Tools>>Services. Browse for Windows Defender and Windows Firewall, make sure they're set to Automatic and Enabled so that they're always running. Good luck

Hey Thanks for replying fasy .... I did as you said but unfortunaly no luck, they were both already on those settings, I set it like that again and applied them again to just make sure, I restarted my computer and they were both off again and I had to start them up again.
