Firewall Service does not function after joining to a domain
I am imaging some Vista RTC PC's for my company. After the image is installed and running we try to add the pc to the domain. After joining the domain the firewall service no longer works. It gives the error " WIndows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start the WIndows Firewall Service?" I click yes and then get this. "Windows cannot start the WIndows Firewall service". I can no longer ping the machine, browse its shared folders or use Remote desktop. It appears that the machine just stops all incoming connections. We are running a SBS 2003 environment with ISA 2004. Any Ideas?

Finally I have discovered a workaround. After i put the image on the pc i first turned off the firewall. Then went into advanced firewall and checked to allow all exceptions. Then turned off all 3 firewalls in their. Then I connected the pc to the domain. Once the pc is joined the firewall still cannot be accessed but at least now everything passess through. Hallaluja!
