How do I rectify this please... thanks Hi, Allow the HTTP ports for both the TCP and UDP. or else follow the below thread replied by linkanyway_pt or else remove the deny access given for HTTP on firewall.. it should work on either way. Let us know the result.

Hi, To check the port 80 and add Internet Explorer to exception list. You may reset the firewall to default. Is it a client one in a domain? Are there some policies in the innernet? In the meantime, youd better check the related settings of your innernet. Perform these commands and check it again. >ipconfig /flushdns >netsh winsock reset Restore Windows Firewall settings http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Restore-Windows-Firewall-settingsIvan-Liu TechNet Community Support

if the above didn't work, try this. try a reboot, if it persists, follow below. uninstall all anti-virus, if it fails the uninstall, get the av removal tool from the manufacture, its corrupted. please run the following anti virus's, rkill, combofix, tdskiller, malwarebytes, mse, google will find these for you, then run cmd in admin mode then type: sfc /scannow if this fails, try a system restore, then run sfc /scannow again, if that fails again, backup data, find driver cds, and application cds, and reinstall windows, if you dont have cd keys, or drivers, hirens bootable live cd will have cd key rippers, and driver backups you can back up with a flash drive. google will find hirens for you as well. your more than likely infected with trojans to disable your security center. if your system was infected with virus, and they were removed and sfc passed, make sure ports on the firewall are set appropriately, & reinstall your anti-virus and proceed with os hardening.
