Firewall/Security Services not started : error 1068 i think - dependent on some device on something?
I have two identical computers running on broadband, one the security center is working w/firwal, malware, etc everything working; the other says the Security Service was stopped or not started; asks if want to start (yes/no) click Yes, then msg cannot start dependence on some device or something; Error 1068 i believe. so, cannot turn Firewall on (same msg), change settings or anything. think someone may have tried to do something and messed it up. i am admin with multiple limited users on community pc. just installed Micro Security Essentials (on both pc's). only one has this problem-virtually the same in software & hardware.any help??1 person needs an answerI do too

Although the error number differs, have you checked to see if services have been enabled for the hardware profile being used ?Service does not start and displays "Error 1058"Error 1058: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.MowGreen Windows Expert IT Pro - Consumer Security
