Fingerprint reader failes after resume
Hi, I'm using Windows 7 6.1.7600 x64 on HP dv6750ew equipped with AuthenTec Inc. AES2501A fingerprint reader. Everything works fine after regular boot and resume form hibernation, but after resuming from standby fingerprint reader doesn't respond at all - I swipe my finger and nothing happens - I have to type my pasword from keyboard. I'm using TrueSuite 2.0 delivered with Windows 7.

Did you tried modifying the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidUsb? If not, please try the following workaround:1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then press ENTER. 2. Locate the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidUsb3. Right-click HidUsb, point to New, and then click DWord Value to create the following entry:FastResumeDisable4. Double-click FastResumeDisable, type 1, and then click OK.5. Exit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer. However, if the issue persists, please wait for the latest driver for Windows 7 to resolve this issue. In addition, I will help to report this issue to related team and they will work closely with the hardware manufacturer.Sincerely,Linda

Linda, thank you for your reply! I tried the FastResumeDisable workaround, but it doesn't work for me... I will keep on waiting for new drivers! Regards!
