Filesharing to Mapped drives via RDP whilst connected through a Firewall
Hi, I am trying to understand the security vulnerabilities that may exist when connecting via RDP tp a customer Server that is exposed to the internet. My Setup is as Follows: My PC => Connects to External Server via RDP (I have gone to options-Local Resources-more and clicked drives) => I can log into the server and all appers normal. The connection to the Server through the firewall is allowed on TCP port 3389 only. When i look at the drive mappings in the remote server i see: C on MYPC O on MYPC Yet when i try to connect i see nothing. Do you need to allow port 445 etc back through the firewall for this to work? Or is the Fileshare tunneled in the RDP streaams? Many thanks
