File sharing over IRC clients and game performance
Using Mirc and attempting to receive a test file fails when attempting to create the connection. Scenario: Friend wants to send me a copy of the document he is creating (in this case an xml file created for testing). Attempts to send it to me via Mirc. Connection fails.*Firewall in windows 7 is turned off, static ipv4 address of 192.168.1.2, subnet 255.255.255.0. Using the same settings in Windows XP and the file can be received without issue. This is a clean install onto another hard drive in the same machine.*Also Game - Dark Age of Camelot. Default game settings work without issue. When introducing a custom User interface (again that works in WinXP) the game will crash to desktop.

bump to see if anyone has some suggestions. Even after the recent drier and windows 7 updates I cannot receive files (tried to send something to myself via an IRC client.) Firewall is completely disabled, static IP on the computer, DMZ set on the router. These same settings work on XP w.o an issue.

Sounds like driver issues. Graphics and NIC. Can you run Windows Update and check what drivers are supplied there?
