Right-click or press and hold the File Explorer shortcut (on the Desktop perhaps) > Properties > Shortcut Tab and change the Target box location to where you want it to open, e.g. to open the D drive, type D:\ then Apply, OK, etc. If you dont have a shortcut on the desktop, navigate to C:\Windows, right-click explorer.exe and create one.

If you have more than one shortcut, they all need to be changed

Hi roxanec,

If you don't use Library usually, you may try to hide Library in Windows Explorer:

Open Windows Explorer, then click the View tab, click options (Or choose Folder options under Control Panel), on the General tab, UNcheck Show Libraries, after that, reload Windows Explorer and then This PC would be default in the explorer.

Best regards

Hello,

Changing File Explorer icon on task bar properties can help you on this.

1. Right click on the Explorer icon and then do a right click on File Explorer. Select Properties.

2. In the File Explorer Properties window, replace the existing value with following one:

%windir%explorer.exe ::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

Let us know if this helped you.

Hope this helps, Good luck :)
