André, not sure, whether I'm right or not. Inspecting some CBS.log files from people with Error C0000034, I recognised, that SQM requesting uploads but fails was envolved. I also found an article from Georg Binder (http://www.windowsblog.at/post/2009/01/28/35569.aspx ) reporting problems with Installer in Windows 7 cause of a bug in Quality Feedback service. Could it be possible, that this is the cause for Error C0000034? We have a discussion German social answers forum - and I adressed it as an idea in section (k) within [1]. Because I know, you are able to read/understand German, perhapse you can have a look about. Mabe I'm wrong - then we can dump that idea. 1: http://www.borncity.com/blog/2011/02/23/windows-7-service-pack-1-troubleshooting-tipps/ Gruß/greetings G. Born - Blogs: http://blog.borncity.com

Did you ever get it to re-initialize? Here are some instructions that have worked for most people: http://blog.acadianacomputerrepair.info/Blog/tabid/157/EntryId/45/Fatal-error-C0000034-applying-update-operation-Windows-7-sp1.aspx

This fix worked for me! Just have to have a bit of patience as removing the string mentioned above takes time. In the end, the whole patch failed and was removed. Thanks!
