Fans and leds stay on after shutdown
Windows xp pro sp3, motherboard gigabyte GA-965G-DS3 (rev. 1.0).After shutdown the monitor goes into low power state and goes black as it should. The system shuts down completely BUT fans and leds stay on. If I press the power button the system displays the bios initial screen and goes on to boot normally. After shoutdown I cut off the power completely by using the power supply switch in the back. However, as soon as I flip it back on, the fans and leds go on immediatelly. The system though will not boot till the front power button is pressed.Help please!!1 person needs an answerI do too

Which means either the front panel pwr / reset switch is faulty or a cable has become detatched, its not a win problem

I will have to disagree with you as far as the switch or cable because when shutting down the switch is not involved at all (Start - Turn Off Computer). In addition, if the switch (or cable) were faulty, the pc would not boot when using that switch. As this was the case in this http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=137921 , I suspect PSU problem. However, any input is welcome.

Yep! The technician said faulty PSU and a "blocked" , "jammed" motherbord bus, whatever that means. The PSU was replaced, the bus was "unblocked".Unfortunatelly, he did not give me details, so if this sounds familiar to someone, please reply.
