Fan Control on a Macbook Pro under windows 7 build 7100
Hello, I have installed windows 7 build 7100 on the most recent macbook Pro 15 inch unibody via bootcamp. My computer idles at 75C on the GPU and 55C on the CPU. The fans will not come on until the box hits 80C on all 3 components. I talked to Apple and they told me that there was no way to change the settings in the EFI. They also told me that windows 7 doesn't have the ability to control the fans in a Macbook pro. Does this sound like it is correct? Has anybody found a fix to this issue? Is this a windows or an Apple issue?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/lubbofancontrol/files/Lubbo_s%20Fan%20Control/0.1.4/LubbosFanControl_0_1_4.zip/download This is the only solution that currently works. Its a windows issue but as Apple wrote the drivers for bootcamp it is really their fault. The alternative is to download a ,ac application called smcfancontrol set the fans on high then reboot into windows, it remembers the settings, but loses them if the mac goes to sleep so it really is much less than ideal. The lubbo fan control above is advancing fast, 3 new versions in 3 days! and the new one is 64bit win supported. best regards Mike
