Family safety for Education

Hello Everyone,

I work for a school that has implemented Intel Education devices using Windows 8.1.  I would like to implement Family Safety control on all these devices.  I prefer the solution because it is simple, works without a domain and will work outside the school.  It can be modified/controlled online using the web.

My concern is with the volume.  The number is near 3000 devices and an additional 3000 more to come this year.  Is it feasible to use a single administrator Microsoft account for Family Safety for this type of size?  Or, is there a better way to implement Family Safety on all these devices?

It can also help us a lot if you could direct me to a batch script/automation to create this Administrator Microsoft Account on existing devices.

Thank you very much. I know this a lot to ask.

Family questions are better asked here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_other-security-winfs?tab=Threads

There is a wiki about family safety here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_other-security/family-safety-frequently-asked-questions/5672f7b2-e3c0-498a-9a6c-c9cab39f68e5

I doubt you are going to want to do family safety for 3000 devices unless you have a whole lot of free time.  Add to that the fact that any smart teenager can figure out how to bypass it makes it not the best choice IMHO

Hi,

Yes, like ZigZag said, this is not a preferred choice. It's too cumbersome. Since you have so many device, I suggest you use domain to control the whole environment.

You could set different level user account and many security policy for application and other resource.
