Failing to connect Windows 7 64bit Lenovo ThinkPad Edge to our work network
Yesterday a member of staff suddenly lost network connection, after trying to reconnect her to no avail I decidde to factory reset the laptop to start again as she has had probelms in the past. However this has made no difference. The laptop also fails to connect to our wireless network. Both are recognised on rhe laptop. I have tried setting up the connections again, doing windows diagnostic, release / renew ip config and some other fixes I found from googling. Sorry I cant be more specific. The error message I recieve starts with this: "local Area Connection" doesnt have a valid IP configuration Im am happy to do more trouble shooting and can try to be more specifc If I can on the problem. Thanks

You can try the following steps : 1. Open your IExplorer 2. Menu tools 3. Internet Options 4. Connections tab, 5. LAN Settings button click, 6. probably have enabled the use of any proxy, 7. Disable it 8. Enables to automatically detect settings For More Info visit here: http://forums.techarena.in/networking-security/1323611.htm http://supportforlenovo.iyogi.com/thinkpad-x201/wireless-problem.html
