Failed to connect to a windows service.
Hi, I have been receiving the following error when I boot my laptop with Windows7. Failed to connect to a windows service. Windows could not connect to the system event notification service service. This problem prevents standard users from logging on to the system. It takes a long time to start and shut down the system, the sounds do not work, the theme is changed to classic. I have tried system restore, but there are no previous restore points on the system. I have also tried sfc /scannow, it displayed some errors found but failed to repair them. I have also tried to repair the system using Windows7 DVD, but nothings working out. The error keeps on appearing many times even if I restart the system. After 10-15 times of rebooting the problem issometimessolved! Is there any solution to this problem or do I have to reinstall WIndows7 all over again...? Please help me out. Aditya
