This happens when your time and date are not set to the present. Click on the clock in the system tray and select change date and time settings. From here you can adjust the date, time and time zone. You can also synchronize the clock with the internet by selecting the internet time tab.

Activation should be succesful if the time and date are configured to the present. The error code returned indicates the the system time was different than the activation server. If this is not configured other problems may arise such as certificate mismatch when accessing email and other online services will not work properly such as windows updates and windows defender.

Thank you sick. This article describesthe most common reason for it and I recommend reading this article first before before calling the activation center.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929458Hopefully if this is fixed KoToe will not have to activate over the phone which is time consuming and avoid other complications that can arise from the clock not bring set to the current time and date.Dave
