I'm running a Windows 7 computer from work. We already checked with our Security departament and they couldnt help with this. We received an FTP site which some users need to access, but they're unable to do so in Windows 7 computers. It mentions something about proxy. I already tried in 5 different computers with no success. The FTP site we're trying to access is: ftp://201.155.50.196:31/ Is there a reason why it doesnt work for Windows 7 (IE 8). Please let me know. Ps. I dont know if this is the right forum... If you need any extra information please let me know.

That’s seems a known issue on both IE8 and IE 9 in Windows 7. Disable firewall still doesn’t work. Some solutions you can use: 1 Install Windows XP Mode and open FTP server on XP Mode 2 Use firefox Seven
