FTP Timestamps incorrect
HelloEveryone! You may think this would be an easy one, pointing at the daytime saving thingie. It's not that simple, from my perspective however. Some employees here use the Windows Explorer to browse local ftp sites (2003 IIS). After the migration to Vista, all timestamps appear one hour ahead of the actual time. Here is a quick checklist of my observations (tested on two different ftp sites):Windows Explorer: wrong timeInternet Explorer: right timeFTP Command-line: right time3rd party FTP Program: right timeLogging on to the actual servers: right timeClients and servers have the same time and daytime saving settings (we are in "normal time" at the moment anyway).I would be really glad for any help solving this. With kind regards,Christoph

Hi Christoph, Thank you for your post. To make the issue clear, could you please let me know how you perform the test and notice that Windows Explorer has a wrong timestamp? Please also capture a screenshot. Please use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the screenshot and share the URL with me. Once I get the information, I will check if I can reproduce the issue and perform some further researches. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT

Hi Nicholas, you can find the requestet shots here. Both FTP Servers are Windows 2003 Standard R2 with the build-in IIS FTP Service. As you can see on the screenhots, both the server and the client have (nearly) the same time. This occurs on my notebook (Vista 32 Bit) as well on workstations (Vista 64 Bit) here. Thanks for your support.Christoph

Bump. After additional testing it seems, that both Vista and Server 2008 have that Problem. I tested the following additional scenarios (all IIS6, Windows Explorer as FTP Client):Vista -> 2003 = bad2003 -> 2003 = good2008 -> 2008 = bad (Even on the same machine!)Vista -> 2008 = bad2003 -> 2008 = goodUnfortunately there is no XP Client left in this environment, but my guess is, that it wouldn't have that problem.I really hope to get some help on this.Best regards Christoph

I know this is an old thread, but I am having this exact same, identical problem. It is causing problems for some of our users in that they do not know if they are retrieving the correct file or the last time it was modified. I've searched for answers to this and did not find any. I do not understand why this has not been addressed yet. Help, please.
