FSX problems when in directx 10
HiI have just perchased a new high end gaming PC with Windows 7,so I can run FSX with the options up high and frame rates between 25 to 35 frames per second.I have the Delux edition and have also installed the acceleration pack. The problem I have is when I use the Preview DIRECTX 10 tab. With it on the graphics are much faster, picture quality is fantastic (especially the water)and frame rates are great. However I cant get the progressive taxi line to work and some of the yellow lines on the taxiways/runways appeare blured. Also most annoying of all any additional aircraft I add come out with no texture to the outside.I havent yet tried to install anything to the senary file yet. When the Direct x tab is unticked and I restart the game all the above problems go but the graphics are jumpy. My system has the I7 prossessor and I have a Nvidia GTX 285 graphics card with the latest drivers.I was wondering if anybody else has had these problems and if their was a patch or solution for my problem.A solution would help me enjoy the product so much more Thanks Pete

Hi Pete, Can you let us know the model of the motherboard? As the DirectX 11 has been integrated in the Windows 7, and the latest graphic card driver just support to the DirectX 10 driver, the FSX game wouldnt work as your wish with the DirectX 10 option is checked. At this point, you can try to run the game in Compatible mode. 1. Right-click the exe. file and choose Properties.2. Under the Compatibility tab, please check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose "Windows Vista".3. Check the box before Run this program as an Administrator below.4. Click OK to save the settings.5. Start the game with the DirectX option is checked to test if it works fine now. If the issue still persists, its better to wait for a patch for Windows 7. I hope this can help you. John
