FOREIGN LANGUAGE SUPPORT
apple wised up, and now the iphone and ipod touch have multilanguage support because it knows that it increases, not decreases the number of users. you have only decreased the number of users of windows 7. soon, google will have its own operating system, and i am looking into linux as well. at the minimum, i will sell my version of windows 7 on ebay. it is more than "unfortunate" that microsoft doesnt allow multilanguage support on the basic version of windows. users are multilingual in this world. evidently, only one language at a time in redmond, and you have to pay in order to be bilingual. that aint the way the world works. i will downgrade back to xp, and use openoffice, and in other countries, this will be an even greater problem, because in japan, and china, and korea, and throughout europe, buying windows 7 in a native language, and not being able to input into english is a non-starter. what a joke.

What's hindering you from an "input into English"? I don't really know each and every localized version of Windows but all that I know allow you to switch between a native and an English keyboard layout. The necessary fonts for the screen display are built-in, too.The only things that are restricted to the Ultimate version are: 1) You can switch the display language, i.e. the language of menu items, help texts, message windows, etc. That's helpful if a computer is used by people of different languages who like to work in an environment that is familiar for them. It's also helpful for support people. But what's the urgent need for a basic user to be able to switch the UI from "Device Manager" (EN) to "Gerätemanager" (DE) to "Administrador de dispositivos" (ES)?2) You can add more keyboard layouts (in addition to native/EN-US), and switching between them is a bit easier."I think there is a world market for maybe five computers.
