FIle Sharing issue after moving hard drives to new computer
I recently upgraded my computer - (including new windows 7 install on C drive) - and kept the existing D and E drives. Both drives had shared folders which were accessed from a WD TV Live box. After the upgrade, all of the shared content was still viewable on the WD box. Today, I created new subfolders in the existing shared folders and copied new file content to the new shared subfolders... and the new subfolders were visible form the WD box, but none of the actual file content in them. I copied the new content to a new shared folder ... everything is OK. I then copied the previous shared files from the old shared folder to the new shared folder. The results are that the old file content is visible, but once again the new file content is not when the folders are selected. Moving the old content back allowed the new files to "reappear". I have tried changing ownership of the files and every combination of file sharing I can think of to no avail. I am open to suggestions.

Please check the parent folder and make sure that permissions are set to replace permissions on child objects. Also make sure that you are the owner of the folder and have full control permissions.
