FIM Sync service is using 100 % CPU while running Run Profile

Hi All,

with one of my test lab environment I am running Active Directory MA Full Sync and It starts very smoothly and processes few records. After sometime, It stops to process any record and got hanged with 100 % CPU utilization.

I cannot find any error is event log. No ERROR AT ALL. SQl server resources are normal and being used less thn 10 %.

Please help.

Yes, It is miisserver.exe.

We have 4 processors and 32 GB.

Earlier it was working fine. now I don't know why FIM Sync is using 100 % CPU.

Did anything at all change in FIM (maybe added another MA, changed a piece of code or somth)

Is the server a VM, if yes are the resources dedicated or pulled.

Iit all depends why those MAs are doing that is CPU intensive. Hard to predict.

Hi,

since normally MA does not have such an Impact on a System I would suggest to check the rules Extension, I assume that there is maybe some code that need all the resources.

Are you doing complicated things in that extensions, or things such multiple FindMVEntries ?

Giriraj,

I face the same issue with my LYNC MA, but for LYNC MA I checked and found that powershell code is being used which takes the resources and don't then release them which causes the CPU utilization to reach 100%. So, my help/suggestion to you for this is to kindly check some code which is causing this or any user which is making you get stuck in this sort of situation.
