FIM Experts Corner Article

Recently we found a problem with default Resource Control Display Configuration (RCDC) objects when they had been replaced in the FIMService database by a new copy.  
The end result is that any default RCDC object that has been replaced (delete / add) for any reason will not be usable because the FIM Portal references these objects by the default GUID created with the object during the FIM Service install.

Good deck. The same guidance applies to OOB Sets that are leveraged by the Portal to determine dynamic UI elements

 Such as 'All Button Viewable Sets'

Any chance that we can get this working again? All of the links around the web on this information just links us back to this post, however the link doesn't work.

This like still appears to be broken.  Any chance of getting a fix?

with the help of Markus Vilcinskas, I've recovered the ppt. (Still, all credits to Steven Klem!)
To make life easier, I've migrated the content to Technet Wiki.

It's more interactive as TNWiki allows to add additional, valuable content.
