FIM Client add-in, Outlook 2013 and hiding Groups ribbon

Hi,

I am trying to hide the Groups ribbon/button on Outlook client, using the registry values from here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff800821%28v=ws.10%29.aspx . I am using 32-bit Outlook 2013. The registry value ShowGroupManagementUi set to 0 does not hide the "GROUPS" button from Outlook.

Can anyone confirm if they have been able to hide the Groups ribbon on Outlook 2013 or if there is something else to check?

FIM 2010 R2 SP1 is when support for Outlook 2013 was added. Are you using the client that comes with FIM 2010 R2 SP1?

Yes, we are using the client for version 4.1.3559 that matches the other components of FIM we have. We have also tested this with Outlook 2010, but it does not work either. We tried this on two different environments, one of our own development servers and customer FIM implementation.

I would take it up with Microsoft Support.

Yeah, we actually had the customer contact MS Support shortly after I posted here, but have not heard back from them whether they have received any response.
