Lync 2010 and Powershell 3.0

Couldn't find anything concrete online so I just wanted to make sure.

Our update team is pushing out PowerShell 3.0 to all of our Server 2008 r2 machines through SCCM. I just wanted to make sure this is a supported upgrade for our Lync  2010 servers running on that server version or if there is anything that is needed after upgrading.

Cheers

 Hi,

On TechNet document which states: On servers running Windows Server 2008 SP2, you must make sure that Windows PowerShell 2.0 is installed. If not, you must install it. Before doing so, you must remove any previous versions of Windows PowerShell that are installed on the server.

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398686(v=ocs.14).aspx

Base on my knowledge, it is supported to use Windows PowerShell 3.0 for Lync Server 2010. Please rerun Step1-2 on Lync Server Deployment Wizard to check if there is any related error. If there is any error report that this version of PowerShell is not supported, please install the Windows PowerShell 2.0.

I haven't done this myself, however my understanding is that this can be done. You'd probably want to test the theory in a lab before going ahead. Unfortunately I wasn't able to dig up any official guidance for this.
