FIM 2010 R2 and Azure Multi-Factor Authentication
Is it possible to use Azure Multi-Factor Authentication with FIM 2010 R2. I know that MIM2016 will support Azure Multi-Factor Authentication but does it work with FIM 2010 R2?

Yes, it can be tied into the IIS authentication for the FIM Portal.

Further to Mark's reply, this approach would not be similar to that MIM 2016 supports, i.e. the use of the Azure MFA as an authentication gate within the SSPR process.
Mark's approach would require a deployment of the on-premises Multi-Factor Authentication server, which would then be configured against IIS to provide an additional factor of authentication when accessing the FIM Portal.
Cheers,
