FIM 2010 R2 SSPR Licensing

How does the licensing works when the client only need to use Sync service, PCNS and SSPR ( no FIM portal).

Thanks, John

Hi John,

If they are using anything more than the Synchronization service they'd need the user CALs in terms of licensing.  Also at the technical level the Portal and SSPR portals are dependant on each other, as its not really possible to configure SSPR without the FIM Portal.

The FIM Licensing Data Sheet - on page 2 under the heading CAL Licensing Requirements there is a good diagram showing what license types are required based on the components being used.

Cheers,

Andrew.
