F8 key assigned to standby
Hi I have a keyboard which has some shortcut buttons at the very top but it missed a button for the standby mode which is one the most important buttons I need. Is there a way to assign the F8 key (which is a free key for me to use regarding the OS and applications) to standby mode? Also is there a similar way to hibernate using the F9 key?Maged

The command to enter sleep is: C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState You may create a shortcut, enter the above command as the location of the shortcut. Then, open the properties of the shortcut, click on “Shortcut key”, and press F8 to set F8 key as the shortcut key.Arthur Xie - MSFT
