External USBdrive not reachable only discoverable
I have the following problem with Win7 Ultimate build 7127, it is not possible to connect to the USB drive connected to a WRT610N router, i can not map a directory only network discovery display's the external diskdrive. When i try to connect i get the Error code: more data available or Error code: 0X80070035 The network path was not found . with 1 laptop with XP and 2 Vista laptop's everything works fine !!!?? I think i have found the problem, right click on computer, advanced system settings, choose Tab Computer Name, then Network ID, what i see is that the option This computer is a part of a business network is enabled. So i choose the option This is a home computer not connected to a business network. Then Next and Finish. Restart the system. Again i go in Network ID and see that nothing is changed...I'm still a part of a business network......??? I think this is the problem !!! I think my computer is still in a domain, but i haven't a domain, so i can't reach the other computers and external Disk on the home network because they are not in a domain !!! Sharing solutions and mapping won't work now !!! Is this true ?? I hope The microsoft guys recognize this "bug" and find a solution. Regards,

Hello Koelis,I've never said you were using an illegal build of Windows 7. I just wanted to make you aware that the build you are using is not supported in these forums. We could discuss from where you got that ISO build 7127, but is useless.I'm not the one making the rules. That's all.Regards and g'luck! If it was helpful, please vote! Si te ayud, por favor vota! Hi Reckon, Oke, no hard feelings, but where can i adress my problem, do you know??? Regards.

Hello Koelis, the only way to get support for that build is outside of the Microsoft TechNet Forums. You may be lucky in forums like SevenForums. But If you really want to get support, install the genuine RC (build 7100) if you have the ISO.G'luck.If it was helpful, please vote! When i read thrue the forums, there are many people with kind of this problems, so i think it is sereous ! Thanks. Sounds like a serious problem, except for you are using a illegal build of win7 never released outside of MS, it was only leaked to torrents. These builds between 7100 and 7600 (not including 7100 and 7600) is contraband here since they can only be obtained illegally (through torrents) and were for internal testing / bug fixing at MS and exhibit bugs that are not in any official versions like the RC or RTM / GA. Please understand this and for help with your problem you must go to a forum that is not from MS. Hello! Please reply back, promptly if possible with the results to solutions to your problem! Short story: - Clean install of Windows 7 build 7100 everything works OK - After Windows7 update, (8) also OK - Install again my used programs on secondary partition D:, I'am now halfway the list of programs to reinstall, now the problem is still there , only discovery works, drive mapping also not work BUT only on Windows 7 , 2x WINXP and 3 VISTA everything OK, they can connect to external USB drive on the WRT610N router. Investigation sofar: -Stop firewall, dont fix it. -Stop AVG virus scanner, dont fix it. -Rollback all service packs doesn't help. - I have checked als sharing settings, they are not changed. 10/09/2009 UPdate >>>PROBLEM FOUND<<< The problem is the application Threatfire , this program is very good as extra overall protection, but in Windows 7 it gives to much protection, mapping doesn't work, after deinstall the program, everything works fine !!!!!! Conclusion: build 7127 is not responsible for this problem, build 7100 had this problem also !! Question is, why have Win XP and Win Vista not this problem with Threatfire ???? Regards,

A lot of programs for some reason became incompatible with win7 but were fine with previous Windows OSs; a lot of AV apps got hit with this incompatibility, like Norton. (yes Norton does have their NIS 2010 beta which is compatible, so don't reply to my post saying that) Your ThreatFire must have gotten incompatible with win7....Hello!
