Hello,

I have a user that regularly connects their laptop to a projector. When they connect to this projector, the laptop changes it's display output to 2nd screen only. We have changed the setting to duplicate multiple times, but it always seems to default back to 2nd screen only. Is there a way that I can change the default display output to be duplicate every time they connect to this projector?

Laptop is a Dell XPS12 running Windows 8.1 Ent.

Hi,

You could set the external display as the main display as the following steps:

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)

2.Tap or click PC and devices, then tap or click Display.

3.In the preview image, tap or click the monitor you want to use as your main display to select it.

4.Select the Make this my main display check box.
