Extending system drive
Well, my PC came with a 250 GB hard drive and when i installed windows on it a few years ago i made 2 partitions, a 50 gig and a 200 gig for documents(the first windows was XP PRO,but i still had the same partitons when installing win 7). 2 days ago i bought a 1 TB disc, and then i wanted to use the whole 250GB disc as a system disc, but the windows disk manager(start->(left click) computer->manage->storage->disk managment) would let me shrink my document partition (D:) But wouldnt allow me to extend the system partition (C:), now i know there are other partiton managment programs but is there a way to do this from the windows disc manager? Because i would trust it more than any other partition managers. If it cant be done any other way i guess i will just find a good partition managment program. EDIT: Win 7 PRO 64x is my version.

With Windows Disk management you can only extend a partition if there is unallocated space directly to the right of it( as shown in disk management). You will need to use a third party program or copy all your data files from D: to your new drive then delete D:. You should then be able to extend C:.
