Expolorer.exe / iexplore.exe cpu use
I have recently updated my Windows XP Professional ver. 5.1 with service pack 3, but am experiencing slow performance and extremely high CPU usage associated with explorer.exe and iexplore.exe. I understand that these programs are essential with Widows operation so i did not want to terminate them. As i type, (with only this website open) there are three (3) iexplore.exe processes listed, one with usage in the mid - 20's with the other two negligible. explorer.exe has settled into the 30's but sometimes runs as high as mid 90'sI downloaded Microsoft Security essentials and ran a scan which resulted in no threats. I have the Uniblue Powersuit of products and periodically run the registry booster, driver scanner and "speed up my PC".Any suggestions?Thank you2 people need an answerI do too
