Explorer strange behaviour when deleting a big amount of files
I have a folder containing about 2500 of files. I want to delete the most of them (2400). When I've selected these files and pressed Shift+Del explorer asked me to delete these files into Recycled Bin instead of permanently deleting them. I've found that it asks for permanent deleting when I select 879 files, when I've added one file into selection it became ask for del into recycled bin. The more strange thing is that if I add to selection or remove from it some small amount of files and press shift+del again, it can randomly ask for permanently deleting files or become to ask for deleting into recycled bin. Is it a bug or just a bad joke? All the files are images, I've switched explorer to the detailed view, added dimensions column and sorted by it in descending order.

probably a bug. i tried what you did... if i try to shift-delete a large number of files, sometimes it will ask me to delete to recycle bin...sometimes permanently. pretty strange huh?

It probably has something to do with the amount of free space for the recycler. -Nick
