Explorer does not show network drives mounted within logon scripts
Hello all, Explorer does not show any network drive mounted by logon scripts (configured with gpedit). This happens wether or not the RunLogonScriptSync key is used. This is very amazing because the network drives are shown within a cmd window (net use) and they are also viewable when using "saveas" within a notepad session for example. Network drives mounted by scripts started by a RUN key are ok, these scripts are started after the completion of the Explorer starting process. The main problem (for me) is that a network drive is requested to get Explorer running as expected because the user's desktops are located on a NetApp server. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers. This behavior is caused by UAC. The reason and answer are introduced in the following article. Deploying Group Policy Using Windows Vista You need to run the script with launchapp.wsf.
