tried several times, diferent ways and cant do it. but IE can. explorer issue or just security arielt

I have the same problem here. I am a web designer and love the simple way to manage my customers ftp folders simply by creating a folder link, e.g. ftp://username:password@domain.com under XP or Vista. I hope this is just a small bug on this beta. Meanwhile I'm using an small application named NetDrive under Windows 7 where you can map an ftp folder as a drive in Windows Explorer.
